Monica Harrington: award-winning international celebrity lingerie stylist, trainer, speaker and brand + product consultant
Monica Harrington first fell in love with the world of lingerie in 1987 when she got a summer job working in the lingerie department at Roches Store in Cork, Ireland.
That summer, she saw hundreds of women transformed by the power of well-fitting lingerie. Monica remembers that their clothes looked better when their lingerie was correctly fitted, but she also noticed that they stood taller, and moved, acted and appeared significantly more confident. She was fascinated by the power of lingerie to increase body confidence and make clothes look better.
Moving to London in 1990, Monica worked as a mobile sales consultant for Playtex, and then managed sales teams for Triumph and Sloggi. With her training qualification from the CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) she designed and led training programmes for bra fitters and lingerie stylists before becoming Product and Training Manager for Triumph in 2012.
In 2016, Monica decided to bring her experience and skills to personal lingerie styling, as well as to the corporate lingerie and sportswear market, by launching her bespoke lingerie consultancy service: Monica Harrington Lingerie. Her aims? That everyone she works with enjoys their lingerie fitting and feels more body confident afterwards, whilst also improving the retail fitting experience for all.
Monica now offers expert advice and personal lingerie shopping services for all manner of lingerie including shapewear, seductive, bridal, pregnancy, post-baby, sports and post-surgery. Her clients include teens, pregnant and post-natal women, post-surgery and transgender and people wanting lingerie to underpin occasion wear. She’s also a popular choice for after-dinner speaking.
Monica runs workshops on post-surgery body confidence for Breast Cancer Care’s Moving Forward courses. In 2017 she was honoured to win a Lingerie Insight Award where she was recognised for her expertise and influence in the lingerie industry.
